COOKING INSTRUCTIONS FOR OUR MEATS
For all fresh meats, preheat oven to 425˚ Fahrenheit and cook at this temperature for the first 10 minutes. For best results, use a meat thermometer for larger roasts because all ovens work differently. All pork should have an internal temperature of at least 160˚ and beef should be about 140˚ for medium. The following times are meant as a guide:
Boneless Pork Roast
1½ – 2 hours at 350˚
Fresh Ham
25 minutes per pound at 350˚
Leg of Lamb
18 – 20 minutes per pound at 350˚ for well done
Loin of Pork Roast
Approximately 2½ hours at 350˚ for a 5 lb. piece
Prime Rib
16 – 20 minutes per pound at 375˚
Roast Beef
18 – 20 minutes per pound at 350˚
Smoked Ham
10 minutes per pound at 350˚
Be sure to place a little water in the bottom of the pan.
It is not necessary to preheat the oven because the ham is already cooked.
Veal Roast
Approximately 2 hours at 350˚
